    Default It's not the same to camp in a tent!

    78 VW Westfalia bought from the original owner and I have all the receipts back to the day it was ordered in 1975 (they had a long waitlist). Have taken it on several several thousand mile road trips and can't wait to get him back on the road again and travel route 66 out west! Oh yeah... and that's vintage 78 paint too!

    Theres one like this down the street from my neighborhood, a yellow one. Its MINT, I mean not a scratch on it! With a roof rack!

    My friends that don't have buses say that camping in a bus is not camping... As I was driving home today talking to one of my fellow moonies (see http://www.fullmoonbusclub.com ) we were discussing how it's just not the same to camp without the bus

    I wouldn't trade it for anything... nothing like driving an underpowered bus up and down switchbacks!

    It's funny how people over react and think we're a bunch of "fucking hippies" and are concerned on how long we are staying when we stop to make lunch after tubing in helen ga

    I think driving my bus frees my spirit... Once I get behind the wheel and on the road I leave all of my worries behind me. It's sort of a cleansing of the soul. Nothing else matters and I just want to keep pushing forward, never looking back... Unfortunately reality eventually sets in that I have obligations back home that need to be tended to... but someday I hope that i can make a living traveling the world by bus taking pictures along the way.

    My friends Alex and Melissa have one of these. They travel all over the country with it.

    You might even know them because I know he takes the bus to NC for VW meets.
