Yes it's based on a pre 85 body... but so is mine... at least mine is an import... and an imported import at that... You couldn't tell he was talking about the car in the lifted state? Cause, ya know, he kinda quoted that picture when he said it, and he posted jokingly like "ahh, good 'ole volkswagon positive camber!" like, he knew what VWs did when they were lifted, then he revealed that he has built up 2 Beetles. Yeah, that was funny, you remember that incident? Oh yeah, good old days when we bitch out people for making funny harmless jokes and star a flame war that gets half of aforum to hate us. I miss those times.........

I pulled it out with 4 bolts... it is sitting on a jack at the time of the pic... how many cars do you know that raise up a bit with the engine out because the suspension is set based on having the weight of the engine in it... well guess what!!!! The Alternator was the first issue I had with the car (aside from the headlight switch sticking, but then it stopped so i didn't fix it) since i bought it 3 years ago... and it's really not that big of a deal to replace... I'm just better at procrastinating

oh wait... my 5 year old battery exploded too... which may have been why the alternator went out shortly after... I think all of it was my fault really
