    lol at the bickering

m3s are better cars but they do cost more but then again you get what you pay for most American made cars are ugly(inside and out) and some are unreliable but they are cheaper ehhh

    i'd rather pay for quality

lol! Equal innnn....braking and cornering? How about interior comfort?

Stock for stock I bet I'll outrun a T/A on a road course in an e36 m3/4/5 with passengers and luggage...

As far as I know, f-bodies have been known to do exceptionally well in SCCA runs around here. My buddy's dad has trophies all over his shop from SCCA for first place, and he has a '95 Camaro Z28 with lowering springs and wider wheels. The same friend has a '98 Camaro SS himself with just SLP suspension and a set of wide wheels, and he scares me pretty good in the twisties.

Not saying the M3 would lose by any means because that's what they're for, but I don't think F-bodies do as bad as people think.

You're right, i've seen some crazy good times coming from f-bodies at Road Atlanta.

They scare me at 45mph, during normal driving. Hell, they scare me sitting still...they're so uncomfortable and unconventional. The dash is large enough to play a few rounds of golf on and i'm 6'3"+ and still can't see the front of the car, lol! Some people love them though! Are they like the Corvettes where you have to open the doors and hatch before raising them on a lift or jacking them up? lol, way to go GM!

I'm 5'10" and can see perfect with a gangster lean!!

lol. I've driven with 17x9(f) 17x11(r) wheels and 15x4(f) 15x8(r) wheels and it seems to still drive well, haven't had a scare yet. I could deal with LS1 brakes though

F-bodies do well in their own respect because they have ass loads of low end torque, 315's go on like cake all the way around and some fat brakes can easily be bought for dirt cheap. More tire = more contact patch, more grip, more surface to brake and yes, just shit loads of grip. Throw 315's and 300wt at 2500 rpms in any slightly sporty BMW or what not with some fender work and watch what happens. BMW's and other small sports cars like Miata's, Old Porsche's, old Z cars etc. etc are simply amazing because they can keep up with Vette's and other car that run a "similar" tire/wheel set up as a properly set up F body with half the tire, less power, less brakes with such a connected driving experience.
Don't believe me? The new 6.2 liter Camaro has an extremely modern suspension system, much wider tires, bigger brakes, more power and gobs more torque then the current M3, yet lapped the ring about 20 seconds slower and 30 seconds slower then the outgoing E46 CSL. To top it off it's hardly heavier then the E92.
Then again, they were designed to do that....take a BMW dragging and watch what happens , unless big money was spent.

I'll have to agree with this. None of the current BMW offerings have very desirable interiors. If you compare most Audi's to modern BMWs, the Audi interiors are always better. Especially the new S5.

I didn't have a new model BMW, but between the 96 Audi A4 I had and the 96 325i the Audi was WAY more comfortable.. Atleast to me it was

You've obviously never been in an e39, e46, M coupe, z8, etc....all cars that Chris Bangle did not work on lol!

    10 year old e39 [m5] interior...

M coupe interior (10+ yrs old)...

    e46 interior...

    z8...

Both the e39 and e46 with even the sport seats are INCREDIBLY comfortable cars. Fits like a glove is an understatement. For 80's the the e28 and e30 both had great interior as well as the 90's modes.. e34, e36, e38, etc.

BMW can do a good job but the nod goes to audi.

I actually like BMW interiors. I like having my dash angled towards the driver ever so slightly. I like their color choice for interior lights and interior colors.

Jason that is early E39 M3. Almost 10 years old at this point. You need a photo of a late model, brushed aluminum trim and WS navvie.

That's why I said 10+ year old e39 so nobody confused it with being several years newer. Same interior, different finishes in the later version e39.

    My dearest mothers cars interior....

    A lovely R8

    The out of production RS4

    The lovely RS6 avant

V10 flagship, the design has been out since 03-04' I believe...

    A proper new TTS

I love Audi's, I just think they are much better daily drivers then BMW's. They are faster 99% of the time on the street in ANY weather, and especially bad weather. I want a new M3 so bad when I get out of school but every time I sit in it I can't take how much nicer my own moms S5 interior is. I want the new M3 much more because the S5 can't close stack up in performance, but I couldn't do it when one is just so much nicer to be in. Conculsion = save up for an RS5. Perfect DD.

The 2009 Audi S8 I think has the most pleasing and comfortable interior I've ever been in...I wasn't too impressed that the upgraded stereo (Bang & Olufsen) was an additional $3+k over the already $110k sticker price lol!

RS4 interior makeover is in my future, lol.

Audi FTW, minus the non plasti-dipped switches for the window and radio/ac controls, lol.
