    Default Painted my wheels!

    Mostly prepped.

    During the second coat.

    Wet clear coat

    Done! In the sun

    In the garage

    Who's that sexy man?

    Done deal!

    Wait till I polish them!

I used one can of duplicolor graphite wheel paint, and three cans of krylon clear. Total came to about $12. I'm glad I didn't spend $200 to get them pro painted.
I'm putting tires on them tomorrow.

looks good for $12.00 but would have looked alot better sprayed with a gun. i think the aerosol has something to do with the orange peel look.

No doubt a gun job would have been better. You're always gonna have orange peel with a spray can. You could try wet sanding before and after clear but that has been a big for me on previous paint jobs. I'm sure TheBucky could tell us why. But, the orange peel really doesn't bother me on the wheels since there aren't many large flat surfaces. On the car itself would be a totally different story.

i paint cars on the side and i remember when i used a can. i would always have orange peel and dry looking spots when i used a can and someone told me it was the aerosol they put in cans. but now that can paint with a gun, i dont use cans.

Thanks! Oddly enough the clear coat cans didn't rattle, they didn't have the ball inside them.

Mounted and balanced the tires with out problems. Then waited till it was dark and took some horrible pictures of my really dirty car.(I'll take a few tomorrow)

Gay twins posed in front of the camera.

    Like I said, shitty pics.
