Dude please. How many e36 do you know of with 10" wide wheels? Pretty close to zero. And your not running them so that means 1 more person to say "That looks like it will fit" and then not install tires and see... So I would say it is pretty crazy. Sure they may have fit, depends on the offset.
An interior mod that no one can spot is useless? How so?
It barely made a change Alex. Of course it would be hard to spot. Someone that didn't even know BMW e36 would maybe NEVER notice it.
Definitely take out that stuff. Save barely any weight and lower the value of your car more. Remove the seat too. I thought you want to sell it? You should be fixing the damage and installing EVERYTHING back in and then think about selling it.

I will let Magnum fix the damage. As of now my car is not officially for sale, I do not really want to sell it till I can atleast make a few more runs down the 1320', perhaps even with some nitrous. I wanted to spray it, but this accident cut into my nitrous money....If someone offered me 11k they could take it now. Oh and when me and Jonathan tried the 10.5"s he had tires on them. I forget what width, but they were 45 profile.Originally Posted by DinanM3atl

11K? Good luck. You can get 97-99 120K M3's for 10K and sometimes 9K.

No pics, car was lowered down. Idk offset. I didn't get them because his had the smaller face than I liked. I am starting to not like multipiece wheels anymore, they are getting played out in the bimmer scene... I am liking single piece, lightweight and or concave wheels now...Originally Posted by DinanM3atl
I don't think 11k is too unreasonable, I have been offered that before... Seems like locals would buy the car just because it is "known". I meet so many random people that recognize my car from places...
Nah. The actually cool and classic design multipiece wheels are still nice. They cheap and crappy and replica ones are getting played out quick!Originally Posted by swollix

No offense to you or the car. If you got offered 11K... take it and RUN. That is EASILY 3-4K over market value. Check the e36 M3 values man. They have TANKED.

I see nothing wrong with $11k for Alex's car, as long as it had the interior and trunk pieces, etc re-installed. But I'm sure some people probably prefer it stripped, just not for me
My '97 with 114k sold for $10.5k stock (+ another $800-900 of stuff I kept and sold).

I want to try something completely new, and something that can be made faster for cheaper... but still looks good.
Drag racing in a straight line gets boring FAST!
You seriously need to use the damn car for what it is made for. Drive down into turn 12 at Road Atlanta... Experience why BMW makes cars.

Road Atlanta is toooo expensive. Isn't the first DE $470+ my gas to get there and the gas used, plus a hotel to stay at, plus food, and if I break anything/tires/brakes? That looks like an expensive-ass weekend to me. I have "drag raced" many times in this car and it has never been boring. The car doesn't excite me any more when I drive it so I want something else. It feels underpowered...Originally Posted by DinanM3atl

What if something breaks at the drag strip?
Run Auto-X... I think it is 40 dollars...
Your bored of an 'underpowered' car that is NOT underpowered... From turn 1 to turn 7 I can sit on a C5 Z06 vette in my 'underpowered' slow E36 M3... Back straight he kills me sure. It is underpowered though.

Ehh, we'll see. I can see myself trying auto-x. I don't think it will be as fun to me because it is not a "direct" competition. Two cars are not racing each other on the same course simultaneously.Originally Posted by DinanM3atl

Like I said we will see when I try AUTO-X. My car may be relatively stock, but it is making close to 300 hp at the crank and weighs 2700 lbs...Originally Posted by speedminded

The simple fact that person X can run the same car faster then person Y. I enjoyed getting a better time then any magazine stock, or better times then I could find with someone with the same mods. Once that's achieved it's pretty boring though..even with 500hp.Originally Posted by speedminded
It's incomparable to even autocross which is no where near the thrill of road racing. However, it's entertaining though. Better than doing nothing.

Well your video you lose the 'head to head' race to a car that ran a 15.5
It is direct. You are directly racing the clock and it is quite exciting.

That slip is not from that video, I should have mentioned that. Directly racing the clock is a different feeling. I will see when auto-x season starts...Originally Posted by DinanM3atl

Ian what times did you run in a stock M3? I could have sworn I saw Car and Driver had a 98 M3 at 13.9. If you bested that... good man!

I did a 13.9 with Wanli tires in 49 degree weather and 98,000 on the odometer. I really never saw the car and driver 13.9 so it's hard to say if I bested it but most people say 14.2-14.3.. It was a 13.94@99 though with a 1.9 60ft. Then with just a flywheel and exhaust a 13.6@100. That felt good. Haha then I did 13.8's with no back left rear shock!! Mf'r fell out all the way down at SDR after about the 10th pass.Originally Posted by DinanM3atl

Yeah I really plan on doing that with all my cars. Makes me just feel like the car is my victim that I have brutally owned and enslaved lolo. I did the same in the 540i but I guess it was modified. No resonator, in intake silencer and 13.8@101.Originally Posted by DinanM3atl

haha if that's an E34 6 speed I can show you how to get a great time. I honestly think my 540i had 13.5's in it because after the intake/exhaust/3.15 rear ass she was trapping around 103+ but I sold it before I took back.Originally Posted by Logan
