No one came to inspect, it. They are sending a tow truck to take it to one of the shops approved by the insurance company and they said the shop will take care of everything. They will also give me a lifetime warranty on the repair, and free towing.Originally Posted by csmiths98AV6

I thought insurance doesn't fix aftermarket parts?

Why wouldn't they? They fix or replace anything that's bolted to the car.Originally Posted by Logan

Fuck that.
I will tell them I will take care of the tow and they will still offer lifetime warranty and I am taking it to one of the actual good body shops in Atlanta like Magnum.
They will cover aftermarket stuff up to a point. Or you can do like I did. I have 10K in coverage added onto the car for my suspension, seats and other parts. So if it gets totaled or stolen or a wreck I get what I am due.

State Farm wouldn't do that. I offered to pay extra when I put the brand new ITR engine in the GS-R, a $500 Alpine head unit, and $1,500 coil-overs...they say said as long as I have receipts it's covered at no additional charge.Originally Posted by DinanM3atl

Wouldn't agree with that. I have plenty of friends with nice new BMW's, Honda's and what not and a lovely car payment and a lot crappier insurance plan and bank account summary then myself. If you or your insurance can't buy it outright, don't drive it.Originally Posted by NAIZBST

Yea, my car cost like a seventh of the cost of my friends car and I still won't let him drive it.
Bozzio for president.
I disagree. I think the e36 is very playful in the hands of a driver. The real issue I see with the e36 M3 is it likes to SNAP back if you try to man handle it. Thus in the hands of someone who doesn't know what they are doing and they swing it out the e36 wants to gain traction and it will snap back on you pretty hard.
That is the limit you are talking about. It is high but riding the limit is a bit more difficult.

Good thing alex! did they say anything as to what they would be able to do with the wheels? Its really cool of you to keep whoever did this under wraps, id be ranting all over the place lol. But i would think it would be the right thing to do to own up to it.

Wheels are most likely irreplaceable. I had a talk with the insurance adjuster, and he said he is going to talk to his manager about the issue. Apparently, they are only liable to replace two wheels. MR. X will have to pay me $580 (deductible + extra charge for the tires I had) the full repair is estimated at roughly $2300.Originally Posted by Civicn33b

What do you mean they claim they are only responsible for 2 wheels? Are the other 2 still round and of same condition before the accident? If not how are they not liable?
Also I doubt you find 2 of them matching...
