Ok Guys I have a problem today when driving my car it started going crazy. At about 2700 rpm the tach just goes crazy and jumps all over the place and the car bogs a little but if you punch it hard the tach eventually straightens back out at around 4k and the car takes off like a rocket (well a slow rocket with a stock d16a6 that is). I think it is the Ignitor (Ignition control module or ICM)
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance-- Justin
Take your distributor cap off and check the set screw that hold on the rotor. That what caused my tach to jump around.
i checked all of the wires but forgot that lol thanks ill try it tomorrow
yea that little screw likes to fall out and it is a pain to find it and reinstall it. But most of you tach issues are caused by it.
i touched the rotor and it didnt seem loose but ill try it its worth a shot
that's a 1st, i have honestly never seen someone actually turbo the dual point fuel injection
lol it never made boost thank god lol
Your sig is epic.
i thought so best line of the week btw some little kid ruined it and got the quarter out lolQuote:

ok i feel like an idiot i took out all of the plugs putem back in and it runs fine at the moment ill update again tomorrow if its still good i didnt drive it long today
the plug wires didnt fix it so i replaced my ignitor with a new one that didnt help so i re checked all of the grounds and the thermostat housing ground was loose so far so go ive driven it about 30 miles
car runs great now
got bored today and changed my valve cover gasket and painted it.

Looks way better Justin, keep on going* Looks sic under the hood... Check out some of the old school looking Sport Max wheels for it www.buywheelstoday.com they have good pricing.
I love old school cars, I can't wait to get my 73 Z going!!
Needs coilovers and some old school fittipaldi's or something. My only problem with these threads is:
Since when is spray-painting a car de-ricing it? The last 3 of these threads I've seen on here have all been flat black. Stay away from the spray paint import atlanta...
THis is true^^ You can paint a car for almost as cheap as you can spray-bombing it...
Get that thing painted an old factory honda color!! It will look way better
