There are roads like that all over N. GA. Hwy 129 is a very good one. My favorite, though, is Hwy 64 in North Carolina crossing into Tennessee. Later, QD.

yea i honestly dont know what roads they are but ill try to get some directions for peeps that want to ride up here... all i know is you take 400 all the way up to lumpkin county where it ends then take a left onto hgwy 60 going towards dahlonega...

if you think this road is curvy just wait till we get some more pics up... ive never had this much fun driving before.. first time doing a mountain run and it was fun as shit! i would recommend this to any newbie like myself! what a rush!

Well technically I drive on 129 all the time. However, I am on the Arcade/Athens side of it. If I take it past G-Ville, I'll eventually get to mountains?

lol, I say that because RR is long sweeping downhill and allows you to go fast into turns. Without good fluid you'll boil them fast.

I live all of 3 minutes from that road, and absolutely love that drive.

On a side note I haven't made a trip through Suches in a while, may have to do it soon.

I'm not stupid enough to drive dangerously in the mountains (or anywhere else for that matter), so I don't worry about all that. But I see what you're saying. Later, QD.

Hwy. 9 goes from Dawsonville to Dahlonega with virtually no turns (maybe 4 lol!) and 52 goes from Ellijay to Dahlonega...still no turns. Hwy 52 from Dahlonega towards Cleveland isn't too bad until you hit Long Branch Ext. and it turns into 115 anyways. Hwy 9 then goes towards Suches but turns right at R-Ranch/Stone Pile and ends at Turners Corner. From there it's 11/19/129 towards Blairesville. The only roads to Suches is Hwy 60 and Hwy. 180.

Hwy. 348/Richard B. Russell is normally a fun mountain pass but probably not this time of year with salt and gravel on it though...if it's even open.

Not any more, lived in Dahlonega for 15 years and been driving those roads for over 12. I've organized dozens of official runs with the most being well over 30 cars, lolol...never again! Your best best is Sunday mornings, there's too many tourists, bicycles, and cops on Saturdays...or just run anytime at night.
