What exactly are those rear lower bars supposed to do. I swear I see them on every Honda/Acura.

It appears that it is connected via a bar with bolts two pieces of the chassis they are welded and actually already connected.

I believe they are there to support the subframe. On newer civics (eg and up), larger rear swap bars tend to crack near the mounting locations, so rather than mounting the rear swap bar to the frame, you mount it to the reinforcement plate.

It's "wrong" to him because he didn't use the proper year side markers and he didn't place it in the original location.

Me personally, I would of used the stuff made for my car. I dont really care because it's isn't my car.

It's funny someone said something about missing a sway on the red car cause i believe he has one.......my car however is missing the rear sway........think the previous owner took it off.......I'm in the process of finding a new one!

Styling is subjective. One mans clean JDM Civic is another mans ricemobile. If you like it then you like it. I can choose to block out and ignore the negative responses or you could also go the opposite way and get into an e-debate over styling.

What? I don't even see a sway in the photo. My guess is this little piece of metal is supposed to control lateral movement between the two lower control arm mounts? That ones that are seem welded and part of the lower subframe?

I don't ever see those mounts 'cracking'. Those are pretty beefy.
