    first hyundai i think i have ever liked, weird front end is a bit too much, and tail lights are ugly, but overall pretty hot car

    I think its pretty hott..

    Im pretty sure the engine in that car is the 4 cyl. Version of the mitsubishi 4B11 if im not mistaken.

    car is gangster fo sho. I would own one and i'm not afraid to say it. Hyundai is making better and better cars and have the best warranty from what i understand.

    these are supposed to only come with a 3.8 v6 or a 4.6 V8. why they would do a 4cyl on this large of a car doesn't make any since however i don't know how they have the turbo set up configured if in fact this car has either engine that is supposed to be offered in this chassis.

    where are you guys getting this info on the engine? kind of seems silly to only put the v8 model in the sedan. This with a V8 please!

    where talking about the coupe not the sedan

    the sedan comes with a 6 and 8..

    the coupe comes with 4cyl turbo, and 6cyl.

    thanks for clarifying.

    I kind of think that is dumb though. Isn't this a BIG car? Seems like the V8 would kill in this car. oh well 4 banger seems kind of weird set up in that car.

    I'll admit all I used to do is make fun of my friend and his Tiburon, even though it did look cool. The Genesis is sick though, I would definitely like to own one of those. Hyundai have finally outdone themselves.

    That ish is MONSTEROUS. Wow Hyundai. drtyhtch, this car is almost the exact same size as the 370Z and G37. I think there's inches difference. That's the cars direct line of competition. So, while an 8 would be nice, 4cylturbo and N/A6 is more practicle and more in line with who the car is going after.

    I dont think its a verison of the 4B11, it might be, but i know that the motor is a version of the 4th gen sonata motor.

    Ah ha! Just found the article in Feb. '09 issue of Super Street. Considering SS is right, the engine is in fact the Mitsubishi 4B11 turbo mated to a RWD transmission. You read that right..Same engine as the EVO X.

    wheel drive- 49-51 power to weight ratio,19's- sport tuned suspention- hp with premium is 210-220. the v6 is a 3.8 litre rear wheel drive,lsd,300hp ish also- turbo inline is related to dodges turbo srt's, mitsu 4b11 evo,- aka world motor- block has been test for 29psi-
