Not to nit pick... but didn't you just contradict yourself here?
Build seems to be going nice. Stepping out of the box a bit... which is nice and refreshing so I definitely give you props for that

but if someone wants to build a car that is "JDM" or what have you, what's the big deal? Why hate on them for choosing to outfit their car with that particular "style?" No sense in hating on them for choosing to do so right? We all build cars for one reason or another. Some for fashion, some for form, some for function. I know you don't seem to care for the whole JDM styled thing cause it definitely seems to be the route everyone's going now a days, but I just feel like it's unfair to criticize someone who makes the decision to throw on a few rare parts they sourced from overseas, or chooses to drop a rediculous ammount of cash and instal a Backyard Special lip just because they feel it is aestethically pleasing to the eye, or perhaps they just wanna get a fake mugen lip/slipstreams/ebay coilovers because that's all they can afford... Man I totally get where you're coming from. The honda scene is getting kinda "boring" if you wanna look at it like that... but everything in life loses its "shine" once everyone and their cousin gets ahold of it. Where's the sense in hating on someone who just wants to keep their car stock minus a few tasteful mods like a lip and wheels? Honda spent A LOT of time in the research and design with these cars, and they got A LOT of things right straight outta the factory if you ask me. But if you're gonna be an advocate of "being yourself and having fun with it" or "doing what you want and not giving a flying fuck what others think" then shouldn't you be a little more accepting of how others choose to build their cars? I feel like as long as you enjoy putting in the countless hours of wrenching to be a part of this thing we call Honda, I could give a fuck how your car looks. At the end of the day, we're all here for the same reason. Whether it's to fit in with the cool crowd, to modify and improve on the already brilliant designs of an amazing car company, to bust your knuckles and build a 4 cylinder that can compete with the big boy V8's at the track, or to just have a nice looking way to get from point A to point B... We're all just car lovers. And the ones who truly aren't will fizzle out and fade away like the flashy paint schemes and gawdy body kits of our past.
Again, great job on the build man. Everything seems to be getting done the
right way and your attention to detail is meticulous. Just thought I'd share my thoughts on this whole "it's cool to hate JDM" thing that seems to be going around lately. But remember... that'll end up being lame one day too.

Thumbs up to a guy who is taking a leap and doing something different. Interesting build to say the least.
