u just made alot of enemies....nice truck
You can do all of the above and it would still be OEM, but with factory options. I'm sure most of it (basket, bumper guards) would be dealer option. That's what I'm doing on my "restore" car. Back to factory with dealer options. And lowered. Later, QD.Originally Posted by larossa9
thanks for the display of wisdom, that does clear some stuff up for me, and i guess i made enemies
Landcruisers are amazing vehicles. This one looks to be in great condition. Nice find! Keep us updated. I'm not sure how you are making enemies either.![]()

You should get some Rodeo wheels, there are some JDM lol wheels that came of landcruiser that say rodeo something spelled wrong. They are amazing,
Clean truck!
Nice cruiser... Ih8mud.com is definitely where you need to go for ideas.
Best vehicle on all of IA !!!
Ideas.... i guess the biggest thing is what do you want to do with it.
Will it see trails?
Will it see deep mud?
Will it see deep water?
I think EJ likes Landcruisers lol.
Nice one man, a REAL SUV!
ew, autotragic. I'd leave it stock until it becomes a manual.
Now if it was automatic with an Allison transmission and a 6.6L Duramax turbo diesel in it then it would be sex!
nice frikkin truck! congrats man, those are pimptastic FO SHO!

It seems like Chevy 350's are replacing all the Toyota I6s. But you're right though, a manual is more important than anything for it.Originally Posted by speedminded
blah, drinks gas and doesn't have the torque of a diesel. I'd even take it with a little 2.5L diesel in it but 600+ ft-lbs. torque from a stock duramax would be fun :boobies:Originally Posted by EJ25RUN

So nice! I want a 1998 so bad... Like QD said, do it all, but use original OEM parts!
haha thanks a lot! i can see you like to off-road a bit or race around in the sand, i plan on keeping it stock mostly maybe a lift of 2 inches not much, with maybe just some stuff like a roof rack and front bumper, nothing that will do the car any harm, i don't plan on really "mud bogging" it, most likely trail rides, i love to trail ride, and just take it slow and keep it mostly dry, i would love to stay in this and want to evolve into running the Baja 1000 and the sacred Dakar, but not in this car those are future plans! thanks for all the complements, i really couldnt find a car i liked that i though was rare enough until i saw this, i love the fact that only 5000 were made and most of which are in africa or australia,Originally Posted by EJ25RUN
O, and yea i know its an automatic, but this is actually and fj62, just like the fj60 but with square head lights, and in 1989 toyota only sold them with every option possible which mean this only came with an automatic gear box from toyota this year, but it does have low range gear box which helps when i want to cross over the parking lot dividers
thanks for all the nice words and yes its is indeed and sUV
thanks guys
bring it up here to north ga if you like to ride trails**Originally Posted by larossa9

They still sell the 70 Series in Austrailia, Africa, and other hard climates (I love that) In fact, its been 3 days into the 09 Dakar and i have seen more of these than the new "UN" Land Cruiser.Originally Posted by larossa9
Really nice pickup and good luck with it. You can have a lot of fine with an off road toy and because you don't need a race track, its almost all legal fun.
Dakar>any road race, rolex 24 is cool but i mean the dakar is on a whole new level
