Im more of a noob hahaha.. I use a Canon powershot sd1000 I purchased from a pal.Im sure by the time I can pick up a D40 and the lens I want I should be more capable of doing better hdr's[I got time to practice before I buy one].Originally Posted by swollix

Ehh I wouldn't get a D40. Everyone I have talked to who is really into photography says they are garbage:Originally Posted by iHATCHBACK™
1)Have to use the menus to change settings
2)Limited to af-s lenses for auto-focus
3)Lack of depth of field preview
4)Doesn't have automagic exposure bracketing
5)Doesn't have built-in control for Nikon wireless flashes
I was originally going to buy the D40, but after talking to people I bought a D70 instead.
Im not sure exactly how serious I plan to get w/photo's but I do know the D40 will make me happy enough[for now].I can always buy a better camera if I decided to and just keep the D40 as a secondary one.Originally Posted by swollix
