I like to do the unusual... I don't like to do what others have done... The candy paint will allow the carbon fiber to show thru but give it the same color scheme inside... and the paint will be carried thru the jams and doors as well...

Fair enough but in "real shows" don't expect to come home with a trophy.

As for the candy, you do realize that Candy is sprayed over a base coat, normally a metallic, and is one of the hardest to get right? Spraying a metallic paint over carbon fiber is not going to allow it to show through. Now perhaps you are talking about spraying a peal over the carbon fiber to give it color in certain lights to allow the Carbon to show through but it is not going to happen with a "true candy." Wait, why would you spray "Candy" on the inside if it is not on the outside?

I can show either of my current civics and come home with a trophy from a charity show. Means nothing but you supported a worthy cause. It would be the same as donating $30 to Childrens Health Care. You are pretty new to the scene arent you.

Never said you were stupid at all. Whether you're a girl or not. But that is a typical female response. Now you're just letting personal feelings could your thoughts. I've been modding cars for 22 years now, so I feel that I have seen most everything. And with what you're doing, it's nothing new or original. And you're not on a "show circuit." Taking your car to local car dealer, church, stereo shop shows does not mean you're on a circuit.

I'm not going to tell you how to do your car because it is your car. I'm just debunking some myths that you have about your car and the hobby in general. You just admitted to be fairly new at this so don't be so defensive. Later, QD.

As for this comment, what would you like to discuss? Started in '91 and showed until 2000. I did shows in Daytona, Myrtle Beach, Panama City, Pigeon Forge, Mobile, Greenville, Savannah, Macon, Columbus, Birmingham, All over Atlanta, Carollton, and other smaller towns doing shows, charity events, putting on events and judging. Did good? Yeah.

But when you tried to promote your car into something more than it really is, I have to put the point to the paper. There's differences in what you say. You show your car. Your car is NOT a show car (like AP Photo said, hit up a REAL car show). You do charity events in your car. Anyone in any car can do charity events. Doesn't have to be a "show" car. And, as I stated before, having your car in the READERS RIDES section or in a random photo is not called "being in a magazine."

Not looking for kudos, just responding to what you had posted up. And the new project is in the planning stages and I will be back at shows again.

We are not trying to "run you down" but give you some insight as to what the car scene sees. Statements you made will make you look like you study F&F and "Living the Low Life". I give you props for building what you like, I have already said that. You have taken time, money, and imagination to get the car to this point and for that I applaud you.

I will advise you to read on Honda-Tech about what has been done to some engines and design your build from there for that. As for the interior, I understand what you are doing just not the correct terminology. My advice to you is to stop acting like your car is the end all be all of Honda's. Hit up a couple of "real shows" and size up what your comp. will be. In case you need help with figuring that out, you are in the wild class. Look for that class on the reg. sheets in the dash at shows.

If you knew my normal style of (what you call) being "crule," you'd see that I'm not really getting at you. You built your car up to something that it clearly isn't and we tried telling you this and you got hurt feelings and you're taking everything said as if we were attacking you. Really? Do I really have to bring this out AGAIN? I've only explained it to you about 5 times. I don't mean you built your car mod-wise. I meant that you built it up (the hype of your car) to where we would think it is some awesome show car. And I mean REAL shows, like HIN, NAPI and others comparable to these. Not Megamaxx and other stereo shop shows. Those aren't real shows. You said you were on a show circuit. If you're on a show circuit, then everyone that goes to shows is. Just because you go to car shows doesn't mean you're on a circuit. You also built it up to be an awesome magazine car. I seriously doubt, 100% in fact, that your car was featured. Like I said before, it was either in READERS RIDES or was just caught in a picture of a bunch of other cars. That's NOT a magazine car. You also built it up to be some special car because you do charity events. Who cares? I did one just last weekend in mine. I've done plenty of them. You can have a rust bucket and still do charity events. You tried to make your car seem exclusive and it's most certainly not.

Now if you would like tips on how to prepare your car for a "real show" I can help you with that. I can give you pointers on what to make sure the judges see when judging. I have also offered advice on where to go to look at building the motor and set ups. There are some on here that can give you in depth advice on motor buildups if you ask.
