With Santa Claus bringing Bigs a new front grill and myself finally following in my dad's footsteps with an SLR of my own, we decided to make the most of an overcast day and shoot some pictures.

The following are 20 shots I could come up with using the freshly unpackaged D60.

Lenses used were a standard 18-55mm w/ Quantaray MC Skylight 1A filter and a 55-200mm w/ Digital Quantaray Pro-series UV filter.

Hope you like them

(p.s.- I am not avidly reliant on photo enhancements and ps to edit my pictures, so all of these pictures are straight from the stick, resized, and uploaded to here.) *exceptions: #'s 10,11,12,14 and 19 all have minor gamma correction and contrast adjustment*

At this point we ran into some company.

What I couldn't believe is that she didn't realize we were trespassing, she just said don't play on the machinary or go down to the quarry hole and do drugs lol.

I found this old random stool on the other side of the puddle.

So I decided to test out the depth of field just to get a feel for the camera.
