Those cars are usually pretty heavy right?

How much do the cars above weigh?

i dont know but the engine looks like it fits just right an the turbos for the kit goes under the engine so perfect swap n my eyes just the engine alone should be wht 400hp add a twin turbo u should easily be at wht 700hp

LS1 swapped imports are great. Ditch the boat anchor VG30DETT for a more reliable and efficient aluminum V8.

IIRC the TT models weight ~150lbs more than the NA cars and I imagine that with this motor swap you might lose more weight than that, not mention the lower center of gravity. That looks much much easier to work on than the stock TT motor.

I need to get myself a slicktop 300Z and do this swap.

^^^ Agreed...I worked on a couple non turbo 300s and man, talk about no room to work.

The LS is a very compact engine...not much bigger, if at all, than DOHC V6s...as you can see.

Its not a big deal. An LS1 is only 450lb so its not heavy. The stock engine is probably around the same since you have the turbos etc etc.

Wow, it's incredible how much room there is. The VG30 is such a turd.

Super car? It is not like you are sticking a LS7 in a super light chasis(think rx7), the weight is still there regardless. Despite to what people think the majority of weight is in the suspension and body, not exactly in the motor even though the V8 is indeed lighter.

In this car it might would be pretty cool. But when I see them in Honda civic's or something, its just retarded. I mean, big motor + light car = no traction. So its pointless. But I kinda like this setup. Maybe in a Supra?!

It just doesn't seem right, just a personal opinion. Nothing is wrong with the swap and I do not know much about the pros/cons but anything that has a swapped push-rod V8 is cool. The swap just doesn't ummm fit? Does that make sense? Sort of like putting a SR20 in a Viper, it is just something I wouldn't do. That's all.

correct. the stock block can handle in excess of 700 without mods. You can bump to that cheaper than you can do this LS swap, provided you're starting w/ a turboed car already. I wouldnt do the swap unless i had a dead N/A 300

I know what you mean. ITs because its so clean with all the clutter gone. It just looks out of place. We're too used to pack/cluttered engine bays lol.
