so....leggy progress
so, since ive been back in the great city, ive been busy on the leggy.
put some flares on, test fit some wheels, put a wing on, did some wetsanding...and soon some painting.
also about to order some wheels, but we shall see what i gets.

but in order to run anything bigger than an 8J, i had ot get flares, im moving up to a 9.5
actually, if you wnat to get technical....it is functional. fully.
It came off a time attack car that was used at Nikko....
now if the question is if its functional on MY car...cant tell you yet. I have to add soem more bracing to the top of the rear hatch, and get it on the track to tell you if it is or not.

i tried. but screwing in fender flares that dont remotely fit...and knowing i would have to bondo the fuck outta it...then having it break when my wheel hits it on a bump....i dunno.

he's thinking outside of the box, when there aren't parts readily available ie. fender flares for your particular car you gotta do what you gotta do to get what you want.
so if yokota sees it fit to make some other makes flares fit his legacy with through the use of bondo and some bodywork, then so be it.
his choice of rolling gear is also his choice. what ever size wheels/tires he decides to roll on is his choice and subaru wagon people are generally pretty closed minded on what works, what looks good, and what is the proper fitment. he is going for a very aggressive, very un-orthodox (in the US) that people greatly respect in japan. fitment is a fine science over there.
people have been quick to criticize yokota's choices on all of his cars whether it be his 2 other nissans or this subaru. i'd rather say job well done for being creative and applaud his executions of what he likes. i look forward to the completed product!

LOL no shit it's functional on a car where it can be properly used. I'm not new to cars either, and know for a fact I know 10x more then you do about tracking a car. Especially with your past cars posted and "mods" you ruined a good looking wagon here. I think we are well aware of cars outside of GA, but I can proudly say if you are representing Japanese styling then LMFAO JAPAN SUCKS!!

i dont like the wing but its not that big of a deal to me...i like the car and like the flares....it is differenT and wagons are hot either way! I look forward to updates on this thing.
