    that you can put the engine in from the top. LOL Someone told me I couldnt do it so of course I had to take a pic.

    lol an engine hanging over the car is not proof, maybe halfway in would be proof but i can hang a viper engine over a miata and say it fits but that wont prove anything

    i did my swap from the top... so im on your side...its possible!

    i guess you got what u needed, and got that motor for the elantra!

    I've done that to an s13 240. Tranny was still on and everything. Man I don't want to do that again anytime soon.

    No, in a front wheel drive such as this car. The service info says to drop it from the bottom sub frame and all but thats kinda hard with no lift.

    Who fucking said you couldn't do that? I dropped an inline six in from the top and that's way bigger than what you were working with.

    Oh ok, well in all my Honda swaps I always did it all from the top.

    the only car that i know from experience is the new vw beetle it has too come from the bottom

    And Porsche, and old Beetles, any mid engine/rear engine car i'm sure, i'm sure others are easier through the bottom, but IMPOSSIBLE from the top? No.

    Say what? I've heard you can do it both ways, but I always thought it was easier pulling it out through the top and putting it in through the top.

    Yeah he found an engine somewhere and brought it to me. I didnt get anything out of doing it but it feels good to know I helped someone who needed it and just to see the look on his and his wifes face when I took them the car was worth it.

    i never heard anyone disagree with using an engine hoist... that's what they're made for..
