I'd love to get into mountain biking but it's way to expensive. I'll rather have my dirtbike instead... Last time I went mountain biking I was at Park city in Utah and broke my collar bone on vacation. The rear brakes on my rental bike locked up before a switch back and I couldn't get over my seat to bail and over the side I went.

I hear you but at the same time i think mountain biking is cheaper then a dirtbike...

On my dd I usually take it off when I don't think ill be using it, since it makes my MPG go down
I was about to buy a canoe this past month but didnt want to spend the money on it. That would be cool atop the accord tho...lol.

I also run a rack on my DD, It allows me not to be tied down by one car. I can have a fun time driving there and a good ride once I get to the location!

All depend on how serious you are. I was talking to a sales person at a bike shop in Utah who was telling me $8000 wasn't bad for this stumpjumper. He was like well it has hydraulic disc brakes 8" of travel and titanium this and carbon fiber that. I was like well so does my dirtbike, it has a foot of travel, but my dirtbike also comes with an engine and cost $2000 less. Why would you pay that much? The prices are just ridiculus for the high end ones
