roof rack = big waste of money unless you are a hardcore bike guy, i cant see why this has become such a trend with the honda crowd, your hatch is sick with or without it

whats up with everyone that has a bike rack???![]()
DA SQUAD # 13
Some of us use it since we actually ride/kayak. Not sure why you would spend the time to strap somethings such as a skateboard on top, when it is small enough just to throw in the back seat.Originally Posted by kaotickaozpunk
On my dd I usually take it off when I don't think ill be using it, since it makes my MPG go down![]()
^I use mine
such hate for the bike racks![]()
I Rep'd those who have them!
Why would you buy a bike rack and not use it??
Check this out, I call it... a backseat.

Thanks, that pic was taken at the dam, i went on a 7+ mile ride that day!
I'd love to get into mountain biking but it's way to expensive. I'll rather have my dirtbike instead... Last time I went mountain biking I was at Park city in Utah and broke my collar bone on vacation. The rear brakes on my rental bike locked up before a switch back and I couldn't get over my seat to bail and over the side I went.Originally Posted by Nittanys1
I hear you but at the same time i think mountain biking is cheaper then a dirtbike...Originally Posted by DunDunSkeert
I was about to buy a canoe this past month but didnt want to spend the money on it. That would be cool atop the accord tho...lol.Originally Posted by slow_hatch
I also run a rack on my DD, It allows me not to be tied down by one car. I can have a fun time driving there and a good ride once I get to the location!

All depend on how serious you are. I was talking to a sales person at a bike shop in Utah who was telling me $8000 wasn't bad for this stumpjumper. He was like well it has hydraulic disc brakes 8" of travel and titanium this and carbon fiber that. I was like well so does my dirtbike, it has a foot of travel, but my dirtbike also comes with an engine and cost $2000 less. Why would you pay that much? The prices are just ridiculus for the high end ones
yeah that is true but then again how much is a high end dirtbike? I only paid $400 for my bike and I love it...It could be a little nicer BUT it does what i need and I'm happy with that.
For a brand new 2009 yz250f $6500.Originally Posted by Nittanys1
As long as it has at least double wall rims and a chromoly or descent aluminum frame it's good to me. What kind of bike do you have.
I've got an '08 Trek with front suspension.
come out to the meet at Malibu tomorrow, I'll throw the bike on the car so you can check it out!
I would like to, but I won't be able to make it.
thats too bad, I'll throw it on there anyways![]()
I had a bike rack on my EF back in 2001...WHAT NOW BITCHES.
That red hatch is so fucking ugly and why would you want to put a rack on a honda![]()
