I'm one of the few old school guys who actually agree with you here. Even in Rat Rod form, I always wash and detail my cars before a show/meet. I like the fact that it's about PEOPLE, and hence we call it a "meet" instead of a "show" --- but at the same time, a little soap and water never hurts --- keep that rust clean! You will not see a car I bring to a meet unwashed --- even if it has dents they will sparkle -
