Default Do You Know What Anachronism Means?

Hmm...what's a shiny 1994 Acura Legend Coupe doing in a dealership right next to a 2007 MDX? Never been sold? Couldn't be...these were pretty nice.

    Ready for a surprise?

Blows me away at how well this car's been taken care of...and it's a testament to Acura's reliability record.

    Hope this isn't a repost.

I've always liked how these looked. I never knew they came as a stick-shift though.

The light is always on. It just changes from GREEN, meaning you're good to go, to orange, and to red. You know what the other colors mean.

how long do you think that dealership detailed that engine bay and interior and wheels? Anyone thinking they might have cheated a little with some shiny new pieces from the parts department?

    woah legends are RWD?(engine layout)

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

Legends are actually FWD...they just have a longitudinally mounted engine. The Volkswagen Passat and many Audis have the same layout.

if you click the link to the story, some guy owns it, and he did all the detailing, they're just using it for a campaign, though he did say he got most of the car repainted (some body, wheel wells, brakes etc...), its still damn clean

he also said he purchased it in 2003 with 95,000 miles, thats 200,000 miles in 5 years! guess he just made a couple of super long trips

wow that shit is super minty. a good interior is priceless in my book. that's the one thing that is hard to make look new again once it's gone to shit. you can do paint and body and wheels and suspension, but oem interior is friggin ridiculous.

Erm, Gen II Legends were not super reliable... The Type-II six speed was better but the Type-I cars have pretty widespread headgasket issues.

That said I absolutely love the six speed coupes.

Your right but i honestly think that good maintenance greatly helped the head gasket issue. I had a 92 sedan slammed on some motegi's lol but at 225,000 mi. it also had intake, exhaust, and a 75 shot of nitrous and it never gave me a single problem. I loved that car....RIP (16 year old girls with new cars are the worst drivers ever....)

Legend, the very same model. For a whole year I'd end up behind this gold legend on my way to school that'd smoke like a mofo. I'd end up behind it at 7:30 AM. Its early and the first thing I sell is that POS's exhaust. UGH!

that means all legends are that way?

because i could say the same to a bunch of cars.. there was this civic, this mustang, camaro, town car, and a saturn.. oh yeah and an old 70s bug... they all smoked badly.

Totally awesome!!!!!!!!! My dad has an old ass Ford Aerostar (can't remeber the year) with 367k miles on it and still kickin'. It looks and drives brand new. He took good care of it obviously. He said changing the oil on a regular basis is what he thinks made it last so long.

legends/vigors that motor period does have major issues, as far as being reliable...so ive heard, and seen! but if it wasnt for that the legend would be king! like i said in the other thread.. should have been a dohc 3.2 in it!

I've met the owner of that Legend, his name's Tyson, really cool guy. The leather interior's been redone with Katskinz leather, btw.

I also had a '92 Legend LS sedan and sold it at ~190k miles, had zero issues. Like just about any car, maintenance is the key. Mine ran perfectly and never had the headgasket issues you hear about with Legends.
