I wonder what the point of that is. It is all uncovered and just couple months ago, the race car was hidden by flat paint. I didn't think the car is ready for sale for another year.

    Good point!

I wonder if maybe the new Supra will be designed after it somewhat?

It's been a while I think since there has been any publicity on the new Supra...

    Now where were those pics....

    Must....Google...."concept Supra"

No. I dislike the styling and my sports cars have H box transmissions.

Toyota has no plans for Supra and wants to shelve other vehicles.

    I wanna cry.

NOW what revitalized Japanese sports car am I going to buy in 2 years when I re-enlist and have a buncha money to play with?

    BOOOOOOOOOOOO....

What gives Toyota???? They're the only company that ISN'T at least offering SOME kind of sporty, fast/fun/somewhat economical car...

Mazda's got the 3 and the 6.....Nissan's got the newer Altima/Maxima/Z's....Infinity with the G35/G37's....and so on.

    NISSAN BROUGHT BACK THE GT-R.

TOYOTA NEEDS TO BRING BACK THE SUPRA.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, MAZDA NEEDS TO RELEASE A NEW, TURBO-CHARGED, ROTARY-POWERED RX-7.

    *rant*

    ((CAPS LOCK off now))

    >_<

lol thats sexy but not gonna happen. They will have a sports car though that they are designing with Subaru. Supposedly a rwd version and also an awd version will be available. Some say its the new Celica Alltrac

Does ur rx7 really have a 2j in it or you just planning?

Sorry but those ^ are dated back to Feb-Mar 2008. My article is less than two months. Again, Toyota has no plans for a Supra.

    From August 15th Autoblog article.

"The Supra revival has been shelved due to high mpg requirements, allowing Toyota to focus on its RWD coupe, jointly developed by Subaru. Also, there's only room for one body-on-frame SUV from the automaker, so the 4Runner will be re-engineered for the 2010 model year, will debut in either New York or Chicago, and the FJ Cruiser will complete its lifecycle and be dropped in the next few years."

Right now my FD has a street-ported, Garret T-67 powered ROTARY engine...

I still have my 2JZ swap kit, but I was planning on just fixing the rotary engine to run again...get it to dyno 400+rwhp again...and then probably just sell the 2JZ swap kit.

I haven't made up my mind yet. It has so many rotary-related mods, I figured I might as well stary rotary for now. Maybe when I re-enlist in 2 years, if the motor's blown, I'll go 2JZ again. :P
