    Cool 2008 Mugen Type RR Experimental Spec - CARBON!!!

    One of the other concepts that graced Mugen’s stand in Japan at the recent Tokyo Auto Salon was the Civic Type-RR, which in addition to the obvious replacement of the entire front clip with carbon fiber pieces, also includes a K20A engine that’s been bored out to 2157 cc to create a more tractable powerband and an even higher redline.

    260 horsepower and 173 lb.-ft. of torque is sent to the six-speed gearbox and down to the front wheels through a LSD. Naturally, the brakes and suspension have been upgraded to handle the extra grunt, while carbon fiber was used inside to beef up the structure.

    Mugen also added a system dubbed I-TCMS, or Intelligent Tire Condition Monitoring, which keeps tabs on the tire’s air pressure and temperature. The dash mounted instrument cluster might be a big impediment to forward visibility, but we’re sure it’s nothing compared to the price.

    Yea I'm confused it does say RWD on those specs but your thing says FWD. Bad ass little civic though.

    I think it looks really really really stupid, especially the red fender flares and polished hood. I also want to see how they "beefed up" the structure of the car with carbon fiber, because I am only seeing trim pieces.

    Also about the specs, they say that the car is a 2 door coupe.

    I like the body lines, for sure.

    I don't like the clear/"euro" tail-lights...

    Make em' flat colors, red on white or w/e... then they're good.

    The whole carbon-fiber thing is "JDM tite" and all...but I'd rather see the car one solid color. lol

    It definitely has a very Mazdaspeed 6/Evo look about it....

    I'd drive one. I just wouldn't pay to own one.

    Its not RWD...But me personally, I think its a very nice car. Yes, the Carbon Fiber pieces are alitte too much but Oh well. All around I think the car is one of the best Honda models so far besides the S2k.
