Default ZEN Motors - Trend Setting Motors - Daily Grind

Just posting up pictures from the shop. I will update as projects come and go.

Had a bit of work to do today at the shop! Just thought I'd share!

    1993 Integra LS

    New Brake Pads
    New Radiator

Man the new ones, on the left, are way thicker than the ones on the right, old ones.

Had to use a high pressure clamp to push back the piston.

Buttoned up the brake calipers and wheels.

Started to get the radiator out.

    Drained out the old coolant

    Radiator out.

New one on the left and the old one on the right. Had to transfer all the fans, housings, and tubes over to the new one.

    Close up

    New hoses

    All buttoned up

    2005 Lexus GS300

    De-badged the Trunk
    New Junction Produce Spoiler
    New TTE Front Lip

    Before

Used a heat gun and some goo gone with some rubbing compound afterwards to clean it up.

3M Taped up the spoiler pieces with some high strength grade 3M Tape.

    Debadged and trunk spoiler installed.

Test fitted the TTE lip spoiler

Everything looked nice so we started to 3M Tape up the inner lips

Definitely lots of people at the shop today

Let the tape do its work for a while as we waited for the Integra to finish up on the lift.

Drilled and screwed on the lip from the predrilled points and then taped up the lip to make sure that it held up the weight while the tape and caulking glue dries. I contemplated eating the glue at one point! So hungry!

Officer Jermaine didn't understand what the tape was for lol

    Glued, taped, and caulked up!

All buttoned up and finishing off the glue.

A few pictures that I got at Zaxby's where JonFlip, G35Chaser, and I ate dinner.

going to have to say no. too much liability with that type of project. if anything were to go wrong and that seat wasn't completely secured... well yeah.. gonna have to pass on this one. sorry

Sup Brady!?! been a while huh? Yeah I quit Wal-Mart and went to Elite of Atlanta Auto Sales, then over to ZEN Motors, LLC. I am doing this full time. As a matter of fact I just started my own business - Trend Setting Motors, LLC. So now I am subcontracting work and am my own boss! The dream is coming true man!

So picked up a few parts for a client last week. They were bought off of a classifieds ad so the condition was less than perfect. Took the parts over to our powdercoating guys and had them media blast the parts and recoat them with anthracite powder. The parts look brand spanking new and will be installed shortly on a client's white Lexus GS400.

    Worked on a client's 1998 Lexus GS400 today

    Swift Racing Technologies Intake

    Swift Racing Technologies Heat Shield

Swift Racing Technologies HFI Race ECU

Toyota Racing Development Upper Strut Bar

    HKS Axle Back Exhaust

DB Link Power Line Run to the Amplifier

Pulled the car in and aligned it up for the lift.

    Dirty and stock engine bay

Taking off the engine cover and intake plumbing

    Covers and pipes off

    freshly powdercoated SRT intake pipe

Had to transfer the stock mass air flow sensor over to the new pipe.

Heat shield and Mass Air Flow Sensor adapted pipe installed

    Vacuum lines installed

Installed the TRD strut bar and engine cover back on

Had to take off the stock bolts for the exhaust pipes at the rear axle

Very stubborn bolts. Car was from the north so there was a lot of rust. Had to dremel 1 bolt, 2 of them snapped and one came out smooth.

This is the only bolt that came out ok

    The snapped bolts

The results of dremeling off one of the bolts

    The exhuast came off though

New ones - HKS - mocked up

Had to run to the hardware store to get new bolts and nuts to put the exhaust on. Got back and finished the install.

New zinc coated bolts to keep the rust to a minimum

Started to work on the ECU for the SRT intake which wires directly into the OEM ECU to change the air/fuel ratios.

Soldered all the connections and shrink wrapped them.

All buttoned up and neatly packed inside the ECU box.

Here is what the car sounded like before intake and exhaust with the ECU upgrade.

Here is what the car sounded like after the intake and exhaust with ECU upgrade was installed.

Started to tackle the Subwoofer. The client already had everything hooked up however the battery line was way too small for such a poerfrul amp at 950 watts. So, he asked me to run a new 0 gauge power line with a fuse from the battery to the trunk.

This was what it looked like before I touched anything. Pretty nasty and ugly if you ask me.

The battery wire is the tiny red one

I used the existing battery wire to run the new 0 gauge wire through the passenger side firewall.

Took apart the kick panel to access the wire and tucked it through the side wells.

Had to take out the rear seats to access the trunk holes

Ran the wire through the rear deck firewall

Then I decided to redo the ground wire while I was at it. The existing one was very small and grounded at a very inconvenient place. The new grounding spot.

Mounted the amp on the back of the box and installed the lines.

Nice and hidden now. Don't worry, I will be doing a custom beauty wall for the trunk to move the sup enclosure back and give him back his trunk space.

Mounted the battery line fuse in the engine bay.

    The engine bay pre cleaning.

Changed out the amber side markers to clear side markers.

Cleaned up the engine bay and trunk and the customer just took delivery! Thanks for coming along today!
