    No, it was a model too. The 1200cc and 1500cc civics have the same styling but the 1500cc cars are just a hair larger Longer doors, longer hood, longer fenders. The 1500cc cars are called CVCC's. Basically a "Super Beetle" version of the Civic 1200.

    The car in the pics is an N600 as QD said. Its much smaller than eithe the 1200 Civic or the CVCC Civic. The 600's have 2 cylinder 600cc engines based on Honda's motorcycle engines. Because they are so lightweight, electric conversions are popular, and there have been a few with Goldwing and other big cruiser engine swaps.

    you also failed to mention they were air-cooled. and as far as i'm aware there are no models that were plainly called the Honda CVCC. i would like to see some proof of this, if its true.

    There is your proof. My car is a 1979 Honda Civic CVCC. There were 1974-79 Honda Civics (featuring the 1200 engine) and 1975-1979 Honda Civic CVCCs (featuring 1500 engines). Later, QD.
