Chill buddy, I didn't realize I was hating.

It's a nice car, I'm just not big on Rotora and was asking why he went that route.

    Thanks guys.

First, I'd like to thank Tony for helping me finish the brake install this morning. Went I got there, he had EVERYTHING DONE. We only need to bleed the brake then the brake job would be finished. Mind you that he has to Drop his GS off at the Motorsport Show today at 12 noon: Prep and Clean his car. But he put my car on priority first.

Everything was "DONE" today, then we take it for a spin to test it. Found 1 BIG problem:

This ROTORA kit DOES NOT need the spacers in the front between the brackets and the mounting locations. Thus that's why they didn't come with them. The inside's rubbing against the rotor. Rotora must've redesign their bracket.

So the car stayed over at Zen Motors so we can take the washers out tomorrow since it was pretty late when we got done with everything (Brake job, suspension, engine work).

I'd like to give my thanks again to Dan and Zen Motors for such great help and enthusiasm. I literally booked their shop all day today.

Not only 1 single complain, they offered to lend me a car to drive home and come back tomorrow to finish it. Also, they're supposed to be closed tomorrow, but they'll open for me to finish up my work. Unfortunately, the alternator went out when we're warming up the car, so I couldn't borrow it.

Furthermore, I'd like to thank my great friend, Kenny (35Chaser with the IP G35 with Gold Vellano wheels). Kenny went above and beyond to help me. He followed me home today to drop off my DD, pick up my forgotten Coilover adjustment, then help me finish up all the work. Then take me home again because the car isn't finished. Mind you that a total 200 miles trip today, in his precious IP G35.

This past 2 days made me realized that I had such great friends on Frenzy and from Zen Motors. Out of state people helped live with technical info. Local people came over to help. I'm thankful to have you guys as great friends. I really appreciate all your help. Thanks everyone for making this happening.

Nice - but do you really need that much unsprung mass?

    It seems a bit overkill.

thats your opinion. I have had to use mine plenty of times on hwy and mountain situations and they out preform my factory brakes DAY IN AND DAY OUT! I'm also still on my original pads 4 years later!

    Its because there are none.

Don't get me wrong I think they look really cool. Just wouldn't be caught on track with them.

No. Do the math, 4 pistons on each side of the disc means an 8 piston caliper.

Now, who wants to do the math on overall brake torque to see if its even worthwhile to have that many pistons? I'd imagine at 8 pistons you're pushing the limit before reaching diminishing returns of added weight and complexity. I sure hope you've got some brake ducting to cool off your rotors because that much clamping force will melt pads and rotors (assuming the calipers are worth a damn).

I also love how all of you are in here bashing the fact that he's wanting to track on these calipers but nobody has commented on the ricey drilled/slotted rotors that will likely crack under the heat generated by that much braking force.

The brakes are pretty, dont get me wrong, but it seems like a downgrade from the AP Racing setup you said you had on there before. IMO these brakes are worthless without slicks, because now your tires are the weakest link with regards to braking.

He said RACING. Stock calipers + good pads + Autozone blanks = All the brakes you need for a drift car.

Not to rain on his parade or anything. I like the brake setup. All I am saying is that you cannot use drifting as a good example of a brake setup's worth.
