The countdown to the 2010 Ford Mustang debut has begun, and it looks like Ford can't wait to show us what the car looks like just as much as we can't wait to see it. Today it released an image of the new 2010 Mustang badge, hinting that its edgier design gives clues as to what the rest of the car will look like. Ford says its designers spent hours researching photographs of horses to give the new Mustang logo a more realistic feel, and we think it paid off. The new pony looks more defined and muscular, and it even got a cool new haircut! We've been anxiously waiting to see what direction Ford will take the retro design of the new Mustang, and if the logo is anything to go by then we shouldn't be worried.

Ford needs to do something to keep up with the game, IMO.

All they did on the 2009 RX-8 is a new front/rear bumper, headlights, and...oh wait, that's it.

I think the new Mustangs themselves are just too damn big. When you sit in the driver's seat you have no perception of exactly where the front-bumper ends, and it feels so damn wide.

I dunno. It's definitely not the car for me. I think they need to spiff up the Mustang. I mean...STOCK, unless it's a Cobra/Saleen/Roush....I think they look and utter poop.

That, and when your friend isn't the only one to have a 2008 Mustang decide to die on you randomly on the highway and in the middle of traffic, and then not even start in your own apartment parking lot....SOMETHING'S wrong with the Q.A. here....

I love the new Mustangs, I don't understand why everyone thinks Ford needs to "keep up" with the styling of other brands. The front of the new Camaro looks like ass, Chargers are boring, and the Challenger is it's only rival in styling imo. It should be a lot meaner looking in 2010 though, especially if the new motor is coming with it which I believe it is.
