Default Drcided to fix up my interior today....

WARNING!!!! THis is a budget project for my daily.... I'm just trying to clean it up a little...

I'm replacing my evaporator so i figured why not fix the crappy tan interior too.

    So i got to work

    Dash/center console/random pieces out

    Dirty ASS tan carpet

    ITS GONE!!!

I ran to walmart, got a big tub and some dye... total $15

    Carpet out...

THis was when i had a WFT am i doing moment...

    Carpet in!!
    (****ty rummermaid tub )

I let it soak for an hour and a half, moving it around every 30 min or so

    End result... still wet

More than likely i will soak it again tomorrow depending on what it looks like when it dries...

Next up is the interior panels....

I decided to just spray them with some duplicolor flat black vinyl dye...

I cleaned the panels with soap and water, then wiped them down with some rubbing alcohol. Sprayed some adhesion promoter, and then the black

    dash and center console first

Thats it for today.... I'll post more updated tomorrow

looking forward to seeing it installed.

I got floor mats so I dont see it being to big an issue.

It will rub off, at some point. I died the carpet in my Civic, if you use floor mats it will be fine though.

SO i got the dash board and the carpet in... still gotta put in the seats, center console, and some trim pieces..

Here are some pics for now..

    Dash put back together

The carpet isn't SUPER black, but its close enough for me

Next week I'm gonna do the door panels, the rear panels, and my droopy headliner...... Then figure out what the hell to do with my seats.

looks good from here... but be honest... do the pics show what it really looks like?

im not being a ****, im just wondering. sometimes pics will hide stuff.

def. kudos for doing it all for under $50, but just be careful not to whack any of that stuff cause with an under color like tan, it will show reaaaallllly bad.

def. looks good in the pics though.

I'd rather do it the real way, but I can understand trying to save money.

ive been riding around with Tan seats in an all black interior for a while. I thought about leather covers, but i cant find any cheap ones. so im just buying bolstered black seats, then harnesses.

oh and btw, i did a change from tan to black.
