    Default My new toy....

    2001 GSXR 750
    Race fairings (still street legal)
    Custom paint job
    lowered (my feet touch now!)
    power comander

still needs a few that i'm working on. And i'm working on getting the stock rear w/seat. I have ZERO storage space, and its starting to get annoying...

haha, yeah i needed a quick fix to get get on the road. I was anxious to take it out, so i got the bare minimum down to make it street legal.

its got a ways to go. i just bought a stock headlight for it, now i have to cut it out and get all that done right. But for now i want to play with it before i put it out of service for a while to get things done right.

it also needs a new wiring harness. too many chopped wires.

yeah, its the first bike ive worked on, also. So its pretty new to me, but i like the challenge. The color sold me on it. i'm not into any of the stock colors, except the yellow/blue/red one. I found an 03 in that yellow with 4Kmiles at the dealer for $5.6K and with taxes and fees and all that crap it came to over $6.5K and i was like nooooooo thanks

thanks yeah here in FL, too. In the past month ive seen like 4 new rider down posts in a local tampa forum. Its crazy.

I dont ride at night on weekends, and i dont ride in groups at night. Too many people getting hurt.

i think it was like 60% of motorcycle accidents here are on the weekend, and 40% of them involved DUI.

I wouldn't ride that ***** at all at night 'till you get some proper lights on it, except maybe in the boon docks (because that's probably something I would do). Love the paint

I dunno, get the right fairings....and you wouldn't have to cut into "race plastics" and for gods sake get some proper riding gear.

are you the one riding? no. She is. She likes what she has, it's her style, she's happy with HER bike, so it's all good.

One of the main reasons i bought it was because i liked the body style and color.

if i would have wanted a perfect bike with no issues i would have bought a stock color, run-of-the-mill gsxr, but there would be no fun in that, now would there?

i like the challenge, and i appreciate my stuff more knowing i had a hand in fixing it up.
Plus, how many other light blue gixxers with fairings like that do you see on the road? I think its hawt

it gives it that female touch that i'm going for, without going psyco and making it all pink with hello kitty crap (dont laugh yet....ive actually seen this) and it doesnt compromise its re-sale value for the future, since it still looks like a bike a guy could ride.

that's all fine and dandy that you want a "project"

but you are doing things ass backwards. You can probably make money by selling off all the race plastics OR you could find someone to trade you street plastics for your race ones.

Because as it stands in those pics, your bike is illegal to ride on the streets and just because it has a foglight for a headlight and it looks like you have two tiny signals in the rear, you still do not have a proper brake light, and front signals, or mirrors for that matter ( why people take their mirrors off is beyond me)

I am by no means knocking you or your bike, just trying to give a helping hand....

everyone else, stfu...if you don't know jack about riding or own a bike, then keep telling the girl with a bike with race plastics is nice and leave it at that.
