    Default Before and after.

Got this a few months ago and just now getting started on it. The after shot is from a crappy camera phone but I will get a few more asap. The hood swap, dent repair, body work and paint done by Maaco. You should see this paint up close, you wouldn't believe how good it looks. Mirror shine and looks better the closer you get. $500 will still get ya a decent paint job.

I am thinking clear headlights and chrome ponies will spice it up a bit. Not 100% on the ponies but will post up pictures to see what ya think when I swap them over.

Opinions welcome but don't care for ignorant bashing.

i hate to say it but more than likely the paint will deteriorate sooner than it should. seems to happen 90% of the time with MAACO. hope you are in the 10%

    Thanks for the comments.

I have a 4 year warranty against fading or peeling. This is about the 10th car they have done for me. I had one start chipping on the trunk lid after about a year on one of them and they repainted the entire back 1/2 for me for free and gave me another 4 years on the paint.

They do not do "show" quality work and I have a 3k paint job here beside me now so I do know the difference. But with a 4 year warranty and $500 it was one hel of an improvement for me.

    Thanks man me too!

They are getting fresh coats in the next week or two. Just trying to get a few of the others looking decent first. The smurf will be going in first between the 2.

to be honest bugman, im not really feeling the turbo hood on there. BUT the chrome ponies, thatll look GREAT. and also, blue oval industries sells a good set of headlights for $100 shipped. cant beat the prices. and they are shiiiney and come with clear side markers.

I was gonna snag ya on that one.

I agree on the hood but it looks way better than we thought it would. I have over 3 dozen Stangs and the cowl hood thing is getting old over here so I am trying different hoods with different colors and seeing what works. I think I can make the hood look OK with the right headlights, wheels, tint and lowering it a bit.

Thanks for the info on the lights... I just may be looking them up here in a minute. I have dealt with them several times in the past so no biggie there, I know they ship their stuff quickly.

I have a passion for cars and I just so happen to be in the Stang mode the past few years. Before that it was Chevy and older Imports like the TR-7, MGB's, Fiats, etc. Now I have a TR-7 still, Honda N600, 82 Civic, 74 Celica, a few Chebbies, a Honda Accord, 08 Civic and a yard full of stangs. It is just a hobby and something fun to play with when I have time. I am definitely car poor.

Just for you here are a few of what I have now.

I'd grow a mullet if I had one of those. I like anything different and that thing is definitely different. I wonder what chassis they have it sitting on? I have a few out here that I could use if I knew what worked.

And you know I would have that sucker sitting on 52's.

Should be free after the family breakfast and church hours. I have a Chevy S-10 that I am selling and may have to meet a guy @ Summit for a possible trade on yet another stang. If that doesn't pan out then we will be here swapping some wheels around on a few of the cars and straightening shop up a bit. We demolished it today trying to do a 1/2 day engine swap/rebuild.

Either way we should be here by mid afternoon.

well im supposed to go buy a 300z tomorrow, but if the guy dont call me in the mornin then id like to try to swing by your compound. and whild you are switching wheels, you wouldnt happen to have some pony's that you like to trade for 10 holes plus cash. the tread is kinda goofy on the tires cause i overheated them and the fronts are peeling haha.
