are you seriously leaving the shifter how it sits? i mean you could prolly elbow someone in the face while downshifting hahaha ..
I want a video of you shifting with the camera man in the backseat and dodging your elbow.
lol I think it funny, would do it just for kicks.
you sir are cool in my book.
T-durr
that is retarded, why would anyone want a longer shifter

I mean, now you have to throw the shifts like a foot to get into the next gear, instead of when it was short (around 4-6 in').
1. ya the shifter is closer to the steering wheel
2. but the long shifts completely defeat the purpose of moving it closer.
lol never seen **** like this at all before :lmfao:
Ive seen it done to drift cars because the drifter is doing so many things at one time, it just makes it easier for the driver to reach from the steering wheel to the shifter to shift, and back.Quote:

makes a short shifter back to its original useQuote:

short throws to my knowledge were introduced in rally with tall poles so the driver needed limited release of his hand to shift, long rod and short throw makes it easy when he is bolted in with only half an inch of slack in his harness
Now I'm curious.
And I'm not trying to challenge it, just trying to understand. How does the "throw" become shorter by extending the length of the shaft?
Or are the drifters installing a whole new assembly (thus creating a shorter throw distance) and then installing a longer shaft? And how does the longer shaft not cancel out the improved throw?
Cool...so you shift with a screwdriver that's as tall as your upper body...
CLASSY.
Imma have to say
no, let it become the next trend. Then it'll give something else for the non trendy types to make fun of.Quote:
