    A DSLR will not mean you will take better photos if you dont know the fundamentals.


    I know there are a few guys on here that would school 90 percent of the DSLR owners on here with a mid range point and shoot.


    My comments are obviously being portrayed as demeaning, all Im trying to say is read the manual to your camera and start looking at the basics of forming, composing, and taking your photos correctly. It is true, you gotta start somewhere, but that should be your camera manual.

    This is truth. I handed my Canon IS S2 down to my mums... set it to AV mode and 100 ISO. It already has IS built in. She has shaky hands. I told her not to change anything. Her pics have turned out 50% better. The rest is all up to photoshop, but she doesn't even know what that is.

    Take a look at some of the pics Dirty Octopus takes. He has a good hold on fundamentals, as George mentioned. The rest is all done in PS. reps to you nemesis (not like you need it).
