Default Taurus SHO RETURNS : 350hp/400lb TQ

    SEMA eNews, Vol. 11, No. 29 - Jul 17, 2008
SPY PHOTOS: TOP-MODEL TAURUS SHO RETURNS!

Automotive spy photographer linchpin Brenda Priddy tells us that these are the first pictures of the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO, caught just outside Ford's Detroit headquarters. Priddy says that photos of a clay model leaked months ago corroborate that this is the long-awaited high-performance Taurus.

Carrying over styling cues from Ford’s stylish European Mondeo, the all-new Taurus will likely be powered by Ford’s new EcoBoost engines, with an EcoBoost SHO to top off the line. The SHO, with its 3.5L V6 twin-turbo EcoBoost, will have 350hp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.

Fords aren't as reliable as most imports. Period. I've had seven Fords, I would know.

if you can't appreciate a good sleeper, then you sir are a ricer. Some of my favorite sporty cars, are the ones that have veeeeery little differences over much slower base models.

YEEEEASS!!! That car will be amazing. I think US automakers need to just keeo makinng stuff like that. SHO's were fun but twin turbo factory SHO's will be extra fun.

Its funny how you guys always bag on Ford but will keep Mazda's nuts on your chin all day. the original SHO had a Yamaha engine in it. the fords that they offer stateside are sub-par but the not so emmisions friendly European offerings are world beaters.

Yamaha only did the heads (i think). And that's why those cars run like raped apes w/ very little work. And Ford doesn't own Mazda OUTRIGHT, just a controlling share. When the SHO came out, Ford had to detune it when they got back from Yamaha so it didn't run away from their flagship Mustangs. Ford makes a lot of junk - they have the Stang which is a kool car... but most of what they put out is garbage. PERIOD.

Aaaaah - direct-injection like the original SHO. Hmmm - wonder if Yamaha is a part of this again.
