It doesn't work like that. The word MARKET is the key word. As in the place the sales take place. All the Japanese imports here were built in expectence to come here. And built to USDM specs(A-spec),and sold on the USDM. Generally the J-spec cars get slightly more powerful enginnes, or better fascia design, more options, different lights or something. There is also a difference in the way the driving lights work, as well as a different side marker location.
