    Default 1997 del sol... Update

NEW PICS on bottom of 2

alright i just bought a 1997 civic del sol s
    with 108k original miles
looks like **** because the owner before me owns a body and paint shop
and he dint like the silver paint on it that was there
so he decided to prep and prime it for paint (he owns a shop)
he did good work on filling the holes and sanding but it still needs work but he is nice enough to let me use his shop and his help to finish preping it and priming it
its missing a few interior pieces.. but he still has most
he also has new carpet and all that... he through in for free
he also boguth new headlights and new corners but the corners i just throw on there to just make it look nice till i get the paint done
he also through in oil and a filter so the pics are right after we did the oil

i also through some **** on from my last civic

after i through on the corners and a used headlight

soooo i know looks bad but has potencial
and i havent decided on a color yet i was thinking pearl white

but in the future im thinking about alitle boost

lmk what ya think and any advice
this is my first del sol... but i have been looking for one FOREVER

its still got the black interior, im wondering where the front bumper is?? goooood luck finding a 96-97 bumper for a decent price. but hey they 97's are the rarest of the del sol so good find and keep it gangster man!

and if im not mistaken, the 97's were the only year model to come in silver so you should go back with silver if that's the factory color.

lol, there's barely 30 minutes worth of work done to the car! With one days work the car could be sold for twice as much. Plus all the parts on it are mismatched from different years, doesn't make much sense

The Honda (Civic CRX) del Sol (Spanish for "of the Sun") marked Honda's return to the two seat sports car after the demise of the CRX in 1991. Available only as a targa top convertible, the Honda (Civic CRX) del Sol managed to breath some fun (and a little excitement) into the Honda lineup before its own demise in 1998. This car was produced internationally between 1992 and 1998, while it was available in the USA only between 1993 and 1997. Known only as the Honda del Sol in the USA after 1994, it went by other names in other countries, including the CR-X del Sol in Japan, and the Civic CRX in Europe. [This is why we clarify the name of our car as the Honda (Civic CRX) del Sol on our web site!]

how bout this straight from teamdelsol.com or do you still not believe.
i can assure you when it comes to a del sol, i know my stuff and i will win.
ive actually seen a 98, have any of you?
call bs some more why dont you.

heres a pic of one, it came with extremely rare leather seats, matching door panels and a couple of other extras.
and dont let the front bumper fool you, call your honda dealership and ask for a 96 or 97 front bumper, they had 2, 1 with aux lights and 1 without.
they had a daytona and a motegi version and they were extremely rare cuz they were left over 97's so it was just whatever they had, they werent actually producing them but they did have a 98.

good luck finding info on one cuz even thats rare. just cuz you cant find info on something doesnt mean it doesnt exist though. people keep telling me that OEM h23vtec motors dont exist cuz theyve never heard of them but i know they do, how bout you?

    Default Update

Thought i would post up some progress i wanted to do alittle trial run before i just went for it and sprayed the whole car like l did last time... and that turned out bad. sooo i took the bumber off shaved the symbol (1st time using bondo and i think it came out pretty good).. and sanded it all down

Gave it 2 coats of White primer

put it back on and lined up everything alittle better then it was (yes i know the fogs and painted they never worked and i plan on getting new ones these week so i didnt care)

    \

I got alittle bored so i wanted to try something alittle dif so i did the same to the top sand and paint then tried out the gloss white and put my last name on top (no its not mexican its russian) thought it turned out decent for my 1st try ever doing something like that... but idk if im gonna keep it on there

so i think everything turned out good so im gonna paint the whole car like that soon...

let me hear some feed back

Don't put your name on it unless it's a small paint-colored sticker on the back window. Just paint it and get it over with.
