    Default The end of a Legacy...

    So I was driving home today. And I got rear ended by an 89 YEAR OLD lady. I was sitting on the off ramp stopped in traffic when she slammed into the back of my car. I don't even think she hit her brakes. The impact sent my car into the truck in front of me and his trailer hitch went through my front bumper. It pushed the radiator into my alternator belt and knocked the power steering belt off the pulley. I am heartbroken that after all the time and money I've put into this car and all that I've done to take care of it some dumb ass old lady that had no business driving can destroy it.

    im not gonna lie... it doesnt look TOO bad in the rear. the front looks pretty effed up. are you figured frame warpage?

    but anyway, i feel for you man. wrecking blows nuts. i came out ok but it one of the most stressful things i've ever done jumping through all the hoops and living on the phone.

    Yeah I was really surprised at how much worse the front is than the back. I hope the frames not warped. I guess we'll see.

    Haha not a bad idea. My brother has a rs sedan and my buddy has a coupe. I was diggin the legacy because no one had one. I'm still praying its not totalled.

    oh god. I remember when my legacy was hit by an old woman.
    Of course, she'd been drinking heavily, but it was still one of the worst experiences of my life.
    I'd tell you about it, but I don't wanna threadjack. PM me or something if you want.

    well I was at his house the other day and checked out the damage. There is no frame damage. The radiator support has been bent back but can be unbolted and new one installed. Luckly there is no damage to either the left/right rear panels. Will need a new hood, bumpers, trunk, left headlight, rear tail lights, grill, radiator support, radiator fans, power steering belt and pully, and paint.

    If anyone has seen this car in person, they can vouch for what a nice car this is...was. Its just a matter of time and the car will be looking better than before.

    I appreciate all the condolences everybody. Hopefully its not totalled and I can get some new paint and jdm grill out of the whole deal. I guess only time will tell.
