Huh...? lol.. Modding is a Z is no more exspensive than modding any car. The aftermarket parts if you know what you're doing and find group buys are very moderate.. not like honda, but moderate indeed.

Real money comes into play if you're looking for big horsepower numbers above 450. You can turbo a Z with no built internals and run low 6psi at around 400-440ishwhp and tq for the price of a turbo kti and install (6-9k)

However if you plan on more power you will be spending big numbers to remove the motor and build the internals. I dont know why people think the Z is so exspensive to mod, In the end, it's like everycar, if you want the numbers you spend a few thousand... the thing about EVO's and STI's is $1000 here and there grabs you another 30-40whp due to a stock boosted motor.. but even thats capped off with the small stock turbos.. if you want big numbers you're looking at upgrading your turbo kit, building internals and spending yet again over 10g's. So if you look at the facts the 350 is just as exspensive as everything else, you just gotta save for longer to hit the big hp boosters right off the bat .

My Z32 was looking at 8g's to make 450 rwhp. Also I'm not necessarily talking about just enhancing the car when I say expensive. I'm also talking about keeping it running. The 350's are nowhere near as bad as the 300's but they still aren't super cheap either. Oh and Cameron I didn't mean I owned one I kind of wrote that fast. I have had a Z31 and then I got my Z32 a few years later.

Well being the 300 is a stock turbo'd car from the factory in the 90's you're bound to have some issues . However the 350 has Very little problems mechanically, a bad transmission in thet early models and since then it's flawless as far as problems go .

www.my350z.com forums/marketplace people sell them on there all day. I see them go on ebay for $1800ish buyitnow normally, That's about as cheap as they get. HOWEVER if you're smart you'll buy a 300ZX BBK (around $500 if you peice one together with steel braided lines/calipers/rotors) which is the exact same 4 piston brembo break setup that's on the track model 350z's and it's also a direct bolt on with Brembo drilled and slotted rotors, where as the stock rotors from the brembo version 350 have brembo blanks, no drill or slot . You're welcome.
