i think the reason many of the gto's dont get that good of mileage is because its just too damn fun when you stick your foot in it!

when i keep my foot out of it (ok ok, the one tank i tried it on...) i got right at 19 average with mostly around town driving... its really not all that bad... its just the gto OWNER'S fault lol

lol, truth right there, i try my hardest, my car hasnt seen 7k in a good while, it saw 5k today for the first time in probably 6 weeks, and that was only in 1st and 2nd then i shifted to 5th, lol

lololz Verdy Nice. Hey....I loved my mustang. I am very impressed at the handling. I cant keep up with u guys but at least it runs unlike the mustang. lol

youd be surprised, arent the xrunners in the 250hp range? i actually liked the mustang, i just hate the fact that manufacturers put v6's in cars that have a heritage of being "muscle cars", which has been done since day one, but still....

but to the OP nice ride man, still a gas guzzlin DD but very nice choice. a buddy of mine just got one of the 6.0 GTOs. they are no joke, neither are the 5.7's.

LoL I do just at work right now. I went to the shop Piston # 1 was craked lol ****ed up the wall also lol but it should be back running today or tomorrow the other block was all ready built just waiting to install my Forged Pistons and rods =P

not to burst your apparent vast knowledge of mustangs, but they were available in the first production model mustangs that rolled out of plants starting march 9th, 1964....commonly known as 64 and a halfs......22k mustangs were sold on day one, and over a million in the first 2 years, it'd be safe to say there were more than just a few sporting the the old 170ci straight six...inlcuding the pagoda green 64.5 vert i helped restore in 1999 while working for Forsyth Street Auto in Macon

i grew up in a mustang family, partially learned to drive stick on a 67 coupe with a 289 and 4 in the floor, i drive a pontiac gto and still have a subscription to muscle mustangs and fast fords for gods sake....i know mustangs which is why i said its been done since day one :boobies:

easy wikapedia( not a slam against you, just trying some humor), but im not trying to start an argument, but i cant even count how many times ive been in an argument with people saying 6rs arent muscle cars. keep it calm here, wasnt trying to start ****. i bet you know alot more about mustangs then i do. to be honest most of my "knowledge" is directed towards the s197, probably because i drive one. still learning about the older ones. and no i did not know they offered them in the 64 1/2s.

I don't think of the GTO other than a nice DD I love Driving in it but it's slow haha. Been looking at Turbo Kits all day at work but I am not allowed to mod this till my 5 year warrenty runs out wife will kill me. These kits are kinda of expensive though I like this one so far.
