i,ll check the mph but i know that the U.S. gtr come with a stiffer suspension than the ones in Japan. + They dont come with the evil GPS that knows if your on a race track.

For the fist time, the U.S. gets a better version than Japan does.

No, i have seen videos from the

    Stock GTR
9.38 Lap with the two damp spots
    9.29 Lap with clean track

The V-Spec is not a time from Nissan released but the track bystanders.

The only thing i think Nissan is lying about is the power.

I feel like it makes because it makes more than "at least 480hp".

i just don't see how the zr-1 was 20 seconds behind the new GTR...

now if they are lying about hp, which i believe they are, then it makes a little more sense

this is why i think there is something fishy

GTR: heavier by 700lbs?, 480hp, and less aerodynamic
ZR-1: lighter, 630hp, and more aerodynamic

both cars are amazing at handling.. just doesn't add up in my mind.

But this is what you are not getting.

Most of the Nissan fanboys on here just see the number and then they look at cars like the 911 like failures.

This is how i see things.

The GT-R for Nissan is what the 959 was for Porsche.

It was soo technically advanced and did everything right that the driver was secondary.

Porsche learned from this and therefore everycar since has been focused on the driver. Why do you think everyone since has been offered with a 6 speed manual?

Now next year, because of the (GTR fanboy idiots) we will see Porsche begin using it's PDK double clutch box and i feel that a GT2 + PDK can beat the GTR around the ring.

    Things to consider.

    The GTR's Drivetrain: Engine+Tranny+diffs+electronics is a masterpiece.

The GTR is just too technically advanced for the driver to matter.

I also feel if the Vette were to go this route.....it could bring up similar #s. But why when you already have a proper drivers car.

The GTR on the other hand is proof that computers can beat a human brain.

Oh and for the Zr1 being more aerodynamic......
0.28 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2006 (it has to be that on a ZR1)
    0.27 Nissan GT-R 2008

I thought the JDM STi was a 2.0 compared with the USDM 2.5

...or is the 2.0 better, and I am a GD8 newb?

On second thought, I just remembered about S204s, and Spec C Type RA-R
