    I don't think it's paint.. motorcycle guys do this a lot, they'll grind down the paint to the aluminum body, then polish it, then clear-coat it.

    As far as the Kufi's.. I would assume this belongs to some oil shiek in the UAE or Saudi Arabia or something.

    That's true. I didn't think that one out completely.. just recognized the look as something motorcycle enthusiasts do.. of course, they don't have bumpers to worry about.
