I saw you there yesterday, your car was looking great. I was in my white Teg, I shoulda said hi. Weren't the parade laps supposedly 60mph? The guy in the Mazda 3 was going all out, and we were hitting 100 at one point in the lap.

    What was you autox time?

my best time was like 30.13 or something... not very good... but yeah i got up to about 100 on the back straight on the first day during parade laps. me and kevin (whiterice) were hauling pretty decent ballz a couple of times. me and jdmjoe got a ride in one of the pace car porches during the hot laps today like right before they stopped... it was efffffiiiiinnnggg ridiculous!!!! were going like 60-70 through the s turns and ****, i think i saw his speedo hit 130-ish on the back straight. man it was bad. the brakes were fvcking neck snapping... they were by far the most impressive part, those things will literally stop on a dime.

but yeah i think i saw your teggy... white with meshies?... pretty clean. i saw you riding all over the place like you were lost too haha

Yeah haha. I was pissed when I realized sat was a domestic only day. I got stuck behind one bandit-a-like Trans AMs for my laps, he was on it all the way, and I could have still passed him in my stock LS in the corners, and for most of the straights. I am definitely going next year.

Your car is so tight. I am about to sell my Festiva and either get a Sol or a Miata, but it will probably be a Miata since I already got the teg and I want to venture into rwd a bit.

The stance on your car is so nice. You still on the stock engine? Plans for a swap? Kevin's EG has a LS in it right?

You see the turbo teal teg? I think that was the only other nice honda out there. Were there a lot better imports there today? I wish I went today................

It was Fri, Sat, Sun. It was such a cool event because it was really laid back. You know what that teg was running?

Someone said it was a boosted K24. I dunno, but if it is Boosted K that is sweet!!!

The black Dodge R/T. He did pretty good. I'm in the red crx in the first picture . If anyone has anymore pictures of my car, I would appreciate them very much. My best time was 26.73. Very happy with that . Was a fun event, especially for a muscle car event (as in me being the only honda within a 30 mile radius on Friday). Almost everyone I met was really cool.

yea that was him. i think he finishd second for the domestics. not bad for cheap tires and lowering blocks in the rear. he says next yr he will win it.

He would have had it, but a Z06 showed up at the last second and took the win. Unfortunately for us import guys, we got disqualified at the end of the day friday. The top three times were from imports, and seeing how this was a year one (domestic) event, I could see why. But they should have said something to everyone before we paid 50 dollars to run. I really didn't care to much, I was just there to have fun . But some people were not too happy with it.

The event was AWESOME. Great people. If only the imports could win the event...

I stayed in the paddock for a while just to hang out. I was letting my car cool down when I look to turn one and see a red object making a huge dust cloud and the BAM! A guy in a red Z06 corvette hit the pit exit wall and destroyed his vette. It was the vette with Fiske wheels, supercharger, coilovers, and sparco seats....what a shame.

So we waited a for about an hour or so and the event organizers said that we would get free laps for waiting so long. I figured it was going to be the slow 3 lap thing like before....wrong. We went out for 2 sessions making 10 laps or so and were flat. It was worth the wait.

BTW, does anyone have pictures of my civic (the red EF race car)

Don't know if you got my message on soloatlanta. The security gaurd wouldn't let us back into the event when we came back, he said it was closed. I guess the vet crashing might have caused that. Was looking forward to getting some pics and a video of us running around the track, since I forgot the first time. Oh well, Nice meeting you though man.

HAH your funny. Lets go up to the moutains and i'll outdrive the **** out of you,(I'll put stock parts back on if you'd like) or you say i can't drift. Come up to the next drift event up at turner feild may 31st. Where i actually have room to get my rpms up. My car is not setup for tight technical drifts. I don't have the tourqe. ( Your open diff will spin your cheap "tire" alot better than my lsd with good "tires") As for spinning out. If i go off the course there you'll have to get a wrecker to come pull me out of the grass b/c i will get stuck.

Oh and to use quote just click the big quote button.

Damnit i need to get my struts faster....im missing all the fun.

Matt- What tires were you running at that event? im trying to decide if i wanna R-comps just yet. I ran a ton of events back in 2003-2005 but never have run anything better then Street tires. i never got a chance to run the MR2 with those Hoosiers i had.

I was running my crappy Falken RT-615 street tires. I was thinking about using race tires but didnt feel like changing them at the track.

What tire you use depends what you want to do and how much experience in the car you have. The thing about a street tire is that they will let you know before they give out (they make noise). With a race tire, you could be running lap after lap with tons of grip then the next turn it runs out without warning. For trackdays, there is no point in blowing money on a set of NEW R comps unless its for testing for a Time Attack, Solo1 or road race event.

If you do want to go with a race tire, go to www.rr-ax.com There are tons of people selling half used race tires for cheap. Thats were I buy all my practice race tires from.

I have absolutely no real on "track" seat time in my present car. Only experience was with the Protege and the MR2. I have a slew of parts arriving any day now for the Cynos, to get it alittle tighter in a corner, but really havent bothered with tires yet. I have no clue how its going to act once i throw it around. I'm also thinking the R comps might be excessive. Hopefully i'll be out there soon. So are you for real moving on to bigger, better and non cone related events?
