Unhappy Edmunds Full Test: 2009 Acura TSX

    Vehicle Tested:
    2009 Acura TSX 4dr Sedan w/Technology Package (2.4L 4cyl 6M)
MSRP of Test Vehicle: $32,775 Price It!!

    What Works:
Superb front seats; integration of in-car technology into a simple interface.

    What Needs Work:
Un-Honda feel to the electric steering; poor braking performance; unimpressive driving dynamics; not much engine torque.

    Bottom Line:
A more relaxed and sophisticated commuter device than the original TSX, but it no longer makes the cut as a driver's car.

My cousin just recently totalled her 07 TSX (she was t-boned, not her fault) and bought the 09 model. She got one of the first ones in the middle GA area.. I haven't seen it yet, but I'll have to see if I can get my hands on it to give it a test drive.

Crap looking car with a boring engine considering that it gives 21ish for an I4. For 33k, I'd just buy a new TL-S.

There's something seriously wrong at Honda these days. Their period of crapiola designs began with that horrible (IMO, YMMV though) **** like dash in the Civic, the Accord's design was left somewhat unfinished around the edges, the good-looking RL was transformed into an Accord clone, the sporty looks of the TSX were ****ed and they just made the next gen. Pilot look like a crying hearse van. I just hope they don't **** up the TL.

What is amazing is TONS of people are yelling this and agree with you and tons of sheep buy them irregardless, so Honda will continue to produce this kind of new crap.

I liked the old Honda/Acura tons. Bring back the 1990s ones please.

x2, They should consider giving the option of the RDX's 2.3L turbo engine in one of these.

Read bub. The intercooler won't fit, thus no turbo RDX engine.

The RDX was designed and the head engineer was a woman FYI

Huh? Have you even visited an Acura stealership? Look beyond the sticker man. Deals are aplenty on the TL/TL-S.
