    Don't worry about those tiny crevices. Just worry about the main top parts, the ones you had painted in red. Use that wire brush to get all that red off in between the crevices.

    As far as sanding go, if you wanna save time, use Bucky's method and skip every other grit I'm sure you'll still be happy with the end result
