Default 2008 Hot Rod's Pump Gas Drags. 56K HA!

So yea my dad, brother and I took a trip to Memphis, Tennessee to watch the Pump Gas Drags. There was defiantly some, high dollar, superior quality, badass cars there this year. But I just wish Brian Anderson would apply for the PGD's again...argh.

If you are not familiar to what this event is, check this link out:

The pictures are not the greatest, they were taken from a Olympus point and shoot, but y'all get the idea.

    Thursday Test and Tune

    A badass Jeep SRT8 >650hp 700torque

    MRE's FTW!!!

    MORE!!!
We stopped at the National Civil Rights Museum, where it was the Lorraine Motel that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. Pretty neat museum and defiantly deep...

    Saturday:
Contestants getting tech'ed in at Comp Cams.

    Engine building contest

Competitors driving in after their 30mile trip from Comp Cams to Memphis Motorsports Park.

    Finally the qualifying and eliminations!

    extra nitrous bottles anyone?? haha

Well thats all I got, it started to rain after the second round of eliminations. So we went back to the hotel, and we could not make it to the rest of the event today b/c we have to make the 7 hour drive all the way home. I don't know who won the event at this time, no one has posted up on the Hot Rod fourms. Hope yall enjoy, my fingers hurt.

Nice pics. That dark colored Mercury Capri and the Viper was sick, man.

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

It ran like poo, breaking up and stuff. The best time was a low 12 with the axles in the front removed.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I was rooting for the Jeep, maybe next year he can come back running better.

I'm sorry, but out of any of the cars, those two snails on the Viper just looked scary as hell.

Too bad it lost, we all thought the viper would win this year. But the Thunderbird won this year :P
