    Default 1981 Euro E12 528i

I took my e28 over to my friend Josh's house and even though I had to see the sad site of his Euro E28 535iS in full part out(Rust is eating it alive) I got to see his current chariot. 1981 Euro E12 528i... Damn it is one sweet car!

I was actually there to get a full detail of the e28(Wash/Cut/Polish/Wax/Seal) and I will have a full photo shoot of that but couldn't leave before getting some shots for Josh.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

    Great pics!

I'm going to question the E12 as being Euro spec, unless a really thorough federalizing job was done. The bumpers are too big, and there are side marker lights. The Euro spec cars had much, much thinner bumpers and the front signal lights were mounted under the bumper. I still have a Euro spec bumper and front valance from a 1976 E12, lol, from when I had my 1981 Euro spec 528i (although that's a bit of misnomer since the car had a big six in it, but the VIN was def. a 528i VIN).

    I did make a mistake.

The owners 85 535i is a fully grey market Euro car.

    The e12 is not.

I owned both, a North American and a Euro, E12.

I liked them, but definitely preferred the Euro car. It was a 528i chassis, but was set up like an original E12 M535i. 3.5l engine, that was cammed and ported by Schnitzer in Germany before the car was shipped stateside, close ratio dog leg 5spd., LSD, Alpina steering wheel and shift knob, Recaro front seats, and three piece BBS 16" wheels. That car was a ton of fun to drive, but needed restoration badly. I eventually had to sell it to help finance going back to school.

I agree. I really dig Brenden Digel's E12 racecar. That's a really nice looking car.

    Here's my old Euro car.

The front had been repaired by a PO who didn't make the body shop get the correct parts. So, it got North American fenders and a BMP Design front bumper.
