Well, i figure, i finally have enough pics to actually show SOME progress on my DB1 that i got on here maybe a couple of weeks ago..
1st Needs:
-refresh the motor so that itll pass emissions...
-repaint it.
-I also had to change out the left front upper and lower control arms, outboard cv axle, brake rotor and steering knuckle... Thats the only thing i dont have pics of right now and WISH i had gotten some photos of the install, cuz thats the biggest thing ive done to the car so far. Took me 3 hours to do it.![]()

This is the car in my garage on jackstands after my little mishap with the left front axle deciding to snap off while i was driving because of the one bolt that holds the whole assembly on decides to be stripped out and wont hold the nut on......but 1st, it looks like a good time to start painting! After i finish, the car will be matte black.
LOL-- autozone can be your best friend.

Also, i'd just started some sanding and masking so i could prime the hood..
left front quarter panel...
Here's a little more detail of the broken left front assembly...![]()
The bolt circled in red is the one that was completely stripped out. The lower control arm is circled in green...
and the CV laying on the ground...![]()
Started taking it all apart...
Here's the nasty culprit right here!![]()
As far as the actual installation? I mentioned earlier... i sadly did not get any pics of THAT, but i did it the very next day. Went to the junkyard and pulled the lower ctrl arm, upper ctrl arm, cv axle, and steering knuckle in 2 hours. Got it home, and installed it in 3 hours.
And, after the 14th, i had to go out of town for 1 week so no progress there either. Up til today, the only things ive done is continued painting the car, section by section, and i cleaned up my interior a little. Tucked the radiator switch and installed a triple gauge pod in the area where the radio is supposed to be.
