    Default My new toy

I picked up another vehicle yesterday. It's a 2006 Xterra. It's the 4x4 Off Road model. It has 30k miles. I've been wanting a small/medium SUV with good off road capibilities for a while, and I decided on this. It does everything I need! The off road model has larger tires, tire pressure monitoring system, different shocks and springs, hill ascent/decent assist, locking rear diff, and a few other things. It also has a 6 disk changer/mp3 player. Let me know what you guys think!

It's nice. I would probably change the tires/rims on it though. I don't like the ones they come with.

they didn't make the off road model during the years they made the supercharged ones. The supercharged ones has a vg33er with 210hp. This one has a VQ40de (almost like a stroked 350z engine) with 265hp. In 2005 the Xterra was completely redesigned. They still look similar, but share few components with the previous style (1999-2004). The old supercharged ones were slow.

Compared to the base model and SE model Xterra, these are much better looking! You should see the others. They are terrible.

I may get a set of NISMO Xterra wheels. They are 18x7, and allow me to keep the tire pressure monitoring system. They look pretty good too. I would probably run BFG KO tires with those wheels.

Within the next year or so, I plan on getting a few upgrades, such as a shrockworks front and rear bumper, warn winch, some more aggressive off road tires (maybe a little wider, but probably not much taller), a set of nismo headers and a nismo catback, a K&N intake, roof rack, some extra lights, and maybe a few other things. Here's a pic of the front bumper I'm considering

RICE!, haha naw jk, i like it now, but if you lift it and make it look like the one that you posted it will be so sick. i never see lifted xterras, but i would also get that front bumper and the rear one to match bc i think it looks so much better with both of those type bumpers, whatever they are called

Looks good; Those nismo 18"s are awesome! I'd go with some BFG Krawlers (expensive, but nice!)

There's a few places that have them. Just google 2005 frontier nismo.

    here's a few

    http://www.leeparts.com/nissan_front...o_headers.html

    http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=561

    http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=2490

They all say 05-06, but I read on a nissan forum that they will fit the 07-08 with minor mods ( a little grinding to the flanges).

So I ordered a K&N intake today, and I'm planning on ordering some different tires sometime this week.
