^^Because in Germany, the fender of the car HAS to fit over the tire tread. So in order to run wide/low offset wheels and still be legal, they started stretching tires so that the tread was still technically under the fender, but you can still run your super wide wheels, which admittedly look sick on cars. The tire stretching can be ok in moderation, but the example in this thread is just dumb.

Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.

wow, i hope the car in that first picture is not driven on the street at that height, because that is dangerous as ****. hit a little sideways motion riding down the street, and you car suddenly has self-dismounting tires at road speed, not to mention the danger the finish of the car is in...

I 100% agree, I've always disliked what they did to that car.

    This is a stance.

It's all about stance. Tires must fit under the fender, so you sometimes have to stretch tires on wide wheels so it works. 99% of people dont poke that horrifically or have that bad of camber though.

This is how its done kids.

That was the picture I was originally going to post, that stance is nasty. None of the cars are drivable but they look amazing which is all that matters when you have a vw.

I'm fine with stretching tires as long as it isn't too extreme. ^ Looks good.

That's because VW's spend most of their lives broke down on the side of the road.

Mine has never broke down, not once. Even if that were the case they look better than 95% of other cars while doing it. VW thread coming soon so everyone can see.

Why not just run wider fenders/ overfenders/ widebody? :?

My God, if you're going to try to be insulting, remember 2 things....

*1) At least type a full sentence.

    2) Be more original. At least try to say something that has not been said 329084329854 times before.

More importantly, what is the use of having wide wheels when the tires don't even cover the entire wheel?
