OMG that doesn't count....................the JGTC acar is a full on race car.
The competiton is held for street modified cars such as the HKS EVO.
A Formula Nippon can go round in under 45 seconds and an f1 car can crack the 39 sec barrier.

thats why i posted the evo to cause i figured someone would say that
at the end of the video though it does say that that is the new lap record
and also on wikipedia it says the nsx hold the record
but even if you dont wanna consider it the record the time that the all carbon evo put down was still faster then the previous time posted in this thread
